SOFT-Cam is an optical, home-use colorectal cancer screening device and method, it detects occult blood in feces accurately, immediately and is as easy-to-use as a point-and-shoot camera. The device enables an inexpensive test and, unlike other methods, is completely non-invasive, requires no handling of feces by the user and no lab interpretation to screen for colorectal cancer.
You don’t feel colorectal cancer starting, and when you do, it’s too late. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the US, but mortality is up to 90% avoidable through screening. Screening methods used today have low compliance, are lengthy, expensive and require laboratory interpretation.
Our main competition is the gold-standard state of the art FOBT (Fecal Occult Blood Test). The only two FOBT methods that are both reimbursed and regulatory approved in the US, Europe and Israel are gFOBT and FIT. The SOFT-Cam is unique in its simplicity of use, cost effectiveness, clinical efficacy and convenience to patients.
